Hayley Hirt, CNM, DNP, is a certified nurse midwife with Providence Women’s Clinic-St. Vincent. She enjoys getting to know families and building strong relationships with them. Hayley chose this work, she says, “because I love empowering people to understand their bodies.” She emphasizes bodily autonomy and a health-at-every-size mindset. Hayley believes that pregnancy and birth are generally normal processes that require very little intervention. “My role is to be the guardian of normal, ” she says, “but when interventions do become necessary, I appreciate having access to them.” A graduate of the University of Vermont, Hayley earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Oregon Health and Science University. She speaks Spanish and English.
