Karen Yoon, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician with Providence Medical Group-Southwest Pediatrics. “My favorite part of being a pediatrician is providing education and reassurance to families, seeing children get well from illness, and watching them grow and thrive, ” she says. To help her patients thrive, Dr. Yoon emphasizes the importance of preventive care and a healthy lifestyle, beginning in childhood. She focuses on all aspects of children’s health, including their physical, mental and social well-being. A graduate of Andrews University in Michigan, she earned her medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Southern California and completed her internship and residency at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.
