    DVM

    Dr. Martin is a full time general practitioner with a passion for preventive care and internal medicine. She joined VCA Raleigh Hills Animal Hospital early 2007 and enjoys working 5 days a week. Dr. Martin has strong interests in the role of wellness care and early detection on longevity and comfort. She firmly believes that we can dramatically improve an aging pets' quality of life by addressing health problems early, when they are most readily treatable. Dr. Martin enjoys caring for all life stages of both cats and dogs, and believes that owners and veterinarians are integral partners in the healthcare of our beloved pets. She is currently completing the American Veterinary Dental College's alternative pathway program to become Board Certified in Dentistry. Dr. Martin began working in the veterinary field as a teenager and used multiple part time jobs at emergency and university clinics to help finance her way through school. She started her academic training in her home state at the University of Florida, then traveled abroad to study in Glasgow Scotland for 2 years before acceptance into veterinary school in Missouri. This time abroad helped Dr. Martin develop her philosophy on animal welfare issues and laid the basis for her interest in internal medicine. After earning her degree Dr. Martin worked in Wisconsin before she and her husband, with their menagerie of pets, moved to Portland.

  • Dr. Dana Blakemore

    Dana and her family moved to Oregon 2008 and share their home with 2 dogs and 4 cats! She is a graduate of Washington State Univ.Vet School and graduated Cum Laude in May 2001. She then went on to complete an internship in San Diego, Calif. in emergency, internal medicine and surgery. Her special interests are dermatology, ophthalmology, dentistry, internal med and soft tissue surgery. Current special area of interest-geriatric medicine.

  • Dr. Yuko Eguchi-Coe

    DVM

    Dr. Yuko is a general practioner whose special interests include preventative care, shelter and emergency medicine. Following graduation from Oregon State University, Dr. Yuko has worked for SafeHaven Humane Society in Albany, where she has helped many sick and injured pets become healthy and find their forever home. Dr. Yuko will see patients in the afternoon & evening hours (until 10 pm Mon-Thurs & 7pm on Fridays)! She will always work in a patient with an urgent or emergency problem! Dr. Yuko is fluent in Japanese. She continues to do rescue work and frequently has a foster dog or two that needs special attention until it is ready for adoption. She lives on a small farm with her human family, dogs, cats, chickens, a rabbit, and a goat.

  • Patricia Frost-Fitch

    DVM

    Dr. Frost-Fitch is a board-certified Veterinary Dental Specialist that has been helping pets and teaching the veterinary community in Portland for over 18 years. She obtained her veterinary degree from CSU in 1978 and completed her dental/surgery residency at the University of Illionis. She joined VCA Raleigh Hills Animal Hospital in 2013 to mentor Dr. Rebecca Martin through her advanced dental training. Dr. Frost-Fitch is available 2 Tuesdays per month for advanced dentistry cases, such as, endodotics, root canals, orthodontics, etc. Dr. Frost will be expanding to 1 day/week when the VCA Veterinary Dental Center of Portland opens in 2014. The Dental Center is located next door to the main hospital and will offer routine and advanced dental care 6 days/week.

  • Giselle Tolson

    DVM

    Dr Giselle Tolson is a general practitioner with an enthusiasm for feline medicine, internal medicine, and dermatology. After graduation from Western University of Health Sciences, she completed an internship in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and surgery in Los Angeles, California. Before veterinary school, she worked as a technician for a feline-only practice and was involved in shelter animal medicine, and she continues to be involved in spay/neuter programs. She shares her home with five cats.

  • Ariel Grubb

    DVM

    Dr. Ariel Grubb is a graduate of the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. From a young age, Dr. Grubb has been interested in both animals and science. Her first job in the veterinary field was at a small animal practice and she never looked back. Dr. Grubb worked at VCA North Division Animal Hospital in Spokane before moving to Portland. She is a general practitioner who enjoys working with exotics, such as small mammals, and is interested in pursuing training in eastern medicine and acupuncture.
